Game Habitat’s new business guidance aims to support game companies in south Sweden to overcome obstacles and be the best they can. Guidance sessions are available to book now.
Game Habitat works to enable south Sweden to be the world’s most successful, creative, and diverse ecosystem for global game development. Providing business guidance is an important step in developing the regional games ecosystem, especially in relation to early stage game companies.
For companies, teams, and individuals
Business guidance from Game Habitat is available to all game companies located in south Sweden, and companies looking to establish in the region. It’s available to established companies, as well as to those individuals or teams of developers that are working on a game project but have not yet set up a company. Business guidance is provided to those who develop digital games, as well as those who develop other types of game related digital products.

– We know from surveys we’ve conducted that there’s a lot of great game developers in the region that dream of, or are in the process of, creating their own games and game studios. With the new business guidance we wish to support them in all the ways we can, and entice more game developers to try out making their own games and founding their own studios, says Jesper Krogh Kristiansen, Business Development Manager at Game Habitat.
Advice, connections, and more
The business guidance encompasses general business and game development advice, connections to publishers and investors, testing and showcasing opportunities, and more. When applicable, Game Habitat will help refer companies elsewhere in the games ecosystem to get the best support possible.
– The idea is that we help guide companies, by highlighting solutions and providing a friendly nudge in the right direction. Then if new obstacles arise, we're happy to meet again, says Jesper Krogh Kristiansen, Business Development Manager at Game Habitat.
One of Game Habitat’s current focuses is to support early stage game companies. The goal is for more regional game developers to establish their own studios, as well as more regional game studios releasing successful games. Providing business guidance is one way for Game Habitat to increase the amount of new companies and their chances of success. Game Habitat has previously not provided any such support on a formalized regular basis.
More support
The business guidance supplement the Haven support program that also is offered to regional game companies. And it goes very well in hand with the newly launched resource library, and other efforts facilitated by Game Habitat, such as mentorship programs, and knowledge and business talks and events.
